How to Get Here

Just as Camp River Dubois was a place of intersecting routes and people, Lewis & Clark State Historic Site is a crossing between highways, waterways, and bike routes. The site lies in Hartford, Illinois on the western side of the intersection between Illinois Route 3 and New Poag Road. It also sits on the Illinois side of the Mississippi-Missouri River confluence. The Madison County Transit Trails run through the site along the MCT Confluence Trail. It sits only about a half hour from Downtown St. Louis.
