Visit with Thomas Jefferson

What is going on?

Lewis & Clark State Historic Site is welcoming Colonial Williamsburg Jefferson presenter Kurt Smith to portray the third President of the United States. Supported by the Lewis & Clark Society of America, Smith’s Jefferson will spend three days sharing his accomplishments, describing his role in the Louisiana Purchase, and interacting with students and visitors. This rare opportunity to speak in person with a Founding Father will be available to everyone in the Riverbend area May 11-13.

How did you get Jefferson to come?

The Lewis & Clark State Historic Site is celebrating 20 years of being open to sharing the Lewis & Clark story with the public. In honor of this moment, the Lewis & Clark Society of America wanted to reach out to a special guest in Thomas Jefferson to celebrate. The society is sponsoring the visit and making sure that all programs with Jefferson are free and open to the public. If you appreciate the society’s work, consider becoming a member today!
